Docu Signer allows you to set up template for the documents or contracts you use most frequently and pre-fill them with Data Fields/ Signee Fields before getting signed digitally.
These Data Fields are the placeholders that will be replaced with recipient data after you send the document for signing. These Data Fields will be filled by the Signee.
Adding Data Fields:
- Open the document in Edit Mode.
- Drag and drop the Data Fields (from Fields section of the left panel) to the document.
- You can add multiple data fields as required.
- You can adjust the size of the data field box by pulling the grey icon on the bottom right of the data field box.
- Don’t forget to define the Title of this data field. This can be done under the Field Properties section in the right panel of the screen.
- Data field title in a template should be unique (No two data fields in a template can have the same Title).
- Once done, click on the Save button.
Data Field Types:
- TextField - This is the placeholder that will allow adding any alphanumeric data. This can be typically used for capturing details like Name, Address, Organization Name, etc
- Signature - This is the placeholder that will be used to capture signee/ recipient signature.
- Email OTP - This is an added layer for the documentation security where an email with security code will go out to the signee. Once the signee puts that security code in this placeholder and validates it, then only the signee will be able to submit the document.
- Mobile OTP* - This is an added layer for the documentation security where a SMS with security code will go out to the signee. Once the signee puts that security code in this placeholder and validates it, then only the signee will be able to submit the document.
- * Currently available in only limited countries.
- * Available as a value add on to enterprise customers.
- Date - This placeholder is used to capture Date values.
