There could be times when it is absolutely essential for you to delete a Sign Request. It could be due to an error in the contract shared, change in terms, legal issues, administrative issues, or miscellaneous reasons. To cater to such requirements, Docu Signer allows you to delete an already generated Sign Requests.
To delete Sign Request in Docu Signer:
- Login to your Docu Signer account.
- Click on Sign Requests module (from menu in the left).
- Here you will see list of existing Sign Requests generated through Docu Signer.
- By default, you will see only pending requests. These are the requests which were generated but have not been signed by any signee yet (Learn about Sign request status by click this link)
- Change the filter if required.
- Any sign request (even the one that has been signed by all signees) can be deleted.
- Click on Delete button (under the Actions column) of the desired sign request.
- You can also type in sign request title in the search box just above the list of requests. This will narrow down your search for the request you are looking for.
- A pop up prompt will open to reconfirm your decision of deleting the request.
- Click on Yes button and your request will be canceled now.
Note:
- Once the request is deleted, none of the signees will be able to preview the Sign Request online and hence will not be able to sign the request further.
- Once the request is deleted, it cannot be reversed. Hence, decide wisely.
Pro Tip: When deleting a request, it's advisable to communicate with the involved parties to ensure everyone is aware of this and any necessary follow-up steps.
