Generate Sign Request

Docu Signer allows you to raise/generate sign requests for recipients/ signees. With this feature, you simply manage to take the digital signatures of the recipients on crucial documents such as contracts, agreements and consent forms etc.

To generate Sign Request:

  • Login to your Docu Signer account.
  • Click on New Sign Request button (option is available at the top of left menu).
  • If you want to see existing sign requests before generating new one, you can navigate to Sign Requests module
    • Here, you can see existing requests (along with their status) 
    • Now, you can click on Generate New button on top right of the page
  • You will be directed to a new page now.

  • Step 1: Select Document
    • Select the document template from your account for which the request needs to be generated
      • OR, you can also upload a new document template
      • Click Next
  • Step 2: Preview/ Edit
    • If you had uploaded a new template in Step 1, you will get the option to add data fields (Click here for more details on Data Fields). Make the required changes and click on Next
    • Else, this step will get skipped
    • Click Next
  • Step 3: Signees.
    • For the concerned Sign Request,
      • Either select the signee from the address book (start typing in the name and the system would automatically start showing the relevant contacts from your address book)
      • Or, type in new email/ name (this will add the signee contact to the address book if not already there).
    • The request goes to the signee by primarily email, so you have the choice to compose email message as well. This is optional.
    • You can also write private notes for this sign request. This will be available only to admin users.
    • Click Next
  • Step 4: Review and Send
    • Verify all the details.
    • If anything is incorrect, change it here itself.
    • Click on Send Sign Request.
  • This will generate the desired sign request and send to the respective signees/ recipients.
