Add contacts

Docu Signer provides you a centralized location for storing and accessing contact information, making it easy to find and generate sign requests for contacts when needed.

Here are simple steps to manage your address book.

  • Login to your Docu Signer account.
  • Click on Address Book module (from menu in the left).

Method 1: Add contact via form

  • Fill the contact form
    • Contact name is mandatory
    • Contact email is mandatory
    • Mobile number is optional (This will be used to generate additional level SMS OTPs * for sign requests). This is divided into two parts:
      • Country Code - Please select from the dropdown the country code of the contact
      • Mobile Number - Please enter mobile number of the contact.
  • Click on Submit button

This will add the contact to your address book.

Method 1: Import contact in bulk 

  • Click on Import button (on top right of the page).
  • You will be directed to a new page
  • Here, download the sample file. Make sure you read the necessary instructions on the page on how to fill your CSV sheet
  • In every row, enter Name (preferably full name), email, country code, mobile number of the contact.
  • Click on Review and Upload button at the bottom of the page.
    • Map the fields from your CSV file with the system fields. This is to make sure that data is uploaded against correct headers.
    • Click Review button. This will show you that system will process. Incase, you feel some record is wrong, uncheck that record.
    • Click on Upload button. You will now get the logs of the records processed by the system along with the reason for rejection, if any record is rejected. Fix these records in your sheet and upload back.
  • Alternatively, you can directly click on Upload option (available when you click on drop down arrow next to Review and Upload button at the bottom).
    • This will directly process all records and will give you the logs of the records processed by the system along with the reason for rejection, if any record is rejected. Fix these records in your sheet and upload back.

Pro Tip: You can download the processed logs by clicking on Export button on Logs tab after bulk processing the contact
