Cancel Sign Request

There could be times when it is absolutely essential for you to cancel a Sign Request. It could be due to an error in the contract shared, change in terms, legal issues, signee unavailability, change in signing authority, or miscellaneous reasons. To cater to such requirements, Docu Signer allows you to cancel already generated Sign Requests.

To cancel Sign Request in Docu Signer:

  • Login to your Docu Signer account.
  • Click on Sign Requests module (from menu in the left).
  • Here you will see list of existing Sign Requests generated through Docu Signer.
  • You can only cancel the sign requests that are yet not complete. If a sign request has already been signed by all signees, this request cannot be canceled now.
  • Click on Cancel button (under the Actions column) of the desired sign request.
    • You can also type in sign request title in the search box just above the list of requests. This will narrow down your search for the request you are looking for.
  • A pop up prompt will open to reconfirm your decision of canceling the request.
  • Click on Yes button and your request will be canceled now.

Note:

  • Once the request is canceled, none of the signees will be able to preview the Sign Request online and hence will not be able to sign the request further.
  • Once the request is canceled, it cannot be reversed. Hence, decide wisely.

Pro Tip: When canceling a request, it's advisable to communicate with the involved parties to ensure everyone is aware of the cancellation and any necessary follow-up steps.
