Docu Signer allows you to set up template for the documents or contracts you use most frequently and pre-fill them with Custom Keys before getting signed digitally. These Keys are the placeholders that will be replaced with recipient data before you send the document for signing. These Custom Keys will be filled by the Sender.
Below steps will help you add custom keys to your document.
- Login to your Docu Signer account.
- Click on Templates (on your left menu bar).
- For creating keys in new Templates
- Click on Add New button (on top right). A new page opens up.
- Fill in the details.
- Upload your document template file with Custom Keys defined/ embedded to it. The Custom Keys can be added using the format {{keyname}}. Any content in your document file that is prepended with {{ and appended with }} will be considered as Custom Key.
- Continue with your Template editing and Save once done.
- This will add Custom Keys/ Placeholders for your new document.
